Instructions: If you are going for an appointed position you need to do everything in the Student Government Election Packet, along with reviewing the following guidelines. Once a position from Election Week becomes an appointed position (because no one ran for it), it is open to any grade, gender or area of region. Example: a girl can run for Boys South Justice if it's open).
Positions Available: Each position will need to come prepared to their interview with the following listed items. You need to prepare only for your first choice for the interview.
Although you will be preparing for your first choice position, you may not necessarily get appointed to that position. You might get appointed to one of your other choices, or not get appointed at all.

- What specific ideas you have to improve diversity in running candidates?
- How do you manage your time?
- When you have a disagreement with someone, how do you handle that situation?
- How will you go above your job and help others in their positions/assignments (be specific)
Public Relations (1):
Be prepared with the following discussion points:
- What ideas you have for the upcoming Veteran's Day Assembly?
- How will you best involved the community in our school events?
- How do you manage your time?
- When you have a disagreement with someone, how do you handle that situation?
Video Coordinators (2):
- Come with a sample video announcement (include the following announcements: New Student BBQ on Friday, Football Game on Thursday, spotlight one student, Ballroom competition)
- Consider the following in your video: variety of students, sound of video, structure, flow of video
- If you are running with a partner, you will interview together and make your video together
Cultural Liaison (1):
Come prepared to discuss the following discussion points:
- What ideas do you have for Culture Week? (Come with possible themes/ideas/performance ideas...)
- Have you attended/performed in Culture Night? What did you like? What do you think could go better?
- How can you best involve other cultures (who aren't highly represented) in not just Culture Week, but other activities (dances, assemblies, games...)- Give specific examples.
- How do you best manage our time?
- When you have a disagreement with someone, how do you handle that situation?
Art Specialist (1):
- Come to your interview with the following ideas (these must be sketched out/on the computer...): Election Week Flier, Student Government Shirt, Culture Week Poster
Tech Crew Representative (1):
Come willing to discuss the following:
- What is your technology background?
- What kind of form/organization do you use when running an activity (If you don't have a form, creating one might be a great idea)
- How do you best manage your time?
- When you have a disagreement with someone, how do you handle that situation?
